Gallery Gurls Celebrates Ten Years at Fotografiska New York

It’s been a messy and beautiful journey for Gallery Gurls which is now officially a decade old! As its founder and EIC, since 2012, I’ve poured nothing but love, nuance, care and hard work to build a platform that celebrates Black and POC artists and art workers, and all the ways we’re shifting access to contemporary art in New York and beyond. In early August, an intimate reception was held at Fotografiska New York to celebrate Gallery Gurls’ ten year anniversary. OG supporters and new friends attended to show love, sip on bubbly, and be in community with each other. I also signed copies of my debut book We Are Here , at my first in-person book signing since the book’s release in 2021. More things are cooking for Gallery Gurls’ journey, so stay tuned and hang out with me!
