Mario Testino, internationally renowned fashion photographer, teams up with fashion designer extraordinaire Oscar De La Renta, to showcase 'Alta Moda' at the Queen Sofia Spanish Institute on the Upper East Side. 'Alta Moda', literally meaning 'high style' in Spanish, is a visual study of indigenous dress from Testino's native Peru. The striking collection of images is effectively executed by portraying indigenous Peruvians from  Cusco in their bold, vivid, and flamboyant garments. This body of work signals a bold departure for Testino - who primarily shoots supermodels and Hollywood's elite- but it's bigger aim is to promote Peru's arts and culture through his philanthropic foundation MATE.
